"People should fall in love with their eyes closed" - Andy Warhol

The first sentence of the last chapter broke my heart so I closed it and left the cafe. I lit a cigarette on the way out and as expected, the snow storm came. Well, what was predicted as a storm turned out to be a gentle fall of flakes. Clutching onto my book, a piece of snow fell on my hand looking like the ash I flicked off. It confused me for a moment. Walking through the sky’s ash, I noticed that I’ve already passed my car. I was going to turn around but decided to take one last walk in this small town. It’s funny. I’ve been in and out of this quiet place for 4 years now, and I still feel like it’s my first time every time. It got pretty cold by the time I reach the end of the street. The book I had in my hand still stored some warmth that it collected from the cafe. I held on to it a little tighter. I came across an antique store, but too bad it was closed. Weird. There was a handmade toy store next door. Everything was made from wood. It was really cool. I went in there and got something for a friend. A cat of the owner’s jumped at me from the counter and gave me a shock. I pet him and realized how lonely I am nowadays. It left a void in me. After paying, I walked on and the wind felt a little angrier than it did before. The book is no longer warm and it is my turn to keep it warm. I got back to my car and gave the scene of the small town’s intersection one last look. It looks exactly like something you’d find out of the movie, “The Notebook”. I drove away from it for the last time, feeling like it’s the first time.
