I couldn’t help but to notice a handsome college boy reading a book of some sort occasionally glancing in the direction of a pretty, artsy girl across from him at the café. I know this sound really cliché and it’s okay if none of you believe me. I wish I could capture some proof, but I’m not the type to try to prove anything unbelievable to anyone. It’s better to believe and wonder rather than seeing something right in front of your eyes and say, “okay”. Anyway, he’s really handsome and this is coming from a girl who would never look twice at a man. He’s handsome because he has pretty eyebrows and blushed cheeks. He’s handsome because he’s reading. Other than that, a WNEC college t shirt and a plain pair of jeans isn’t anything special. The girl had feather earrings and she’s laughing with her other friend who has her back to me. She has all sorts of rings on her skinny fingers and I can tell from the way his eyes would steal glances at her that he wants to hold them. He’s wearing high top, coffee colored Vans. I don’t understand his style at all. Maybe he just threw on anything and ended up here just to read. He probably feel really ridiculous right now that there’s this girl here, unintentionally calling out for him. I think he’s falling in love. Just kidding, but it’s better to think that way. Young, ridiculous boy who’s probably studying something ridiculous like business or whatever else WNEC is good for. Young, blonde artist girl who may or may not be in school at all. Who cares. She’s blonde and she wears feathers and skull rings. Brief moments full of hope and, hopelessness. It’s beautiful. This is why I love coffee houses.
